George Gallego founder of Wheels of Progress GEORGE GALLEGO is the founder and CEO of Wheels of Progress. He has lived with a Pinal cord injury since 1992 .A freak accident at the age of 23 ended George's carefree lifestyle of playing ball, skiing, swimming and camping. The former circulation manager of a major newspaper fell the equivalent of three stories after stumbling through a railing at a Manhattan warehouse. He severed his spinal cord and was paralyzed from the waist down.
