Europe was constantly invaded by the Vikings and Magyars. The Magyars were Hungarians who raided towns. Vikings were a Germanic tribe from Scandinavia who pillaged and captured slaves. Invasions

A lord would own a manor and surrounding land. Peasant families would live and work on the land. Serfs could not leave the land without permission. Manorial System
