  3. Introduction (简介) • CSSA = Chinese Students and Scholars Association • 匹大中国学生会性质为非营利性、非政府、以及非宗教性组织（Non-profit Organization） • 主要资金来源：美国匹兹堡大学Graduate and Professional Student Association（GPSA）等校属机构。 • 本组织服务于以匹兹堡大学内就读的硕士以及博士研究生为主体的，包括所有教职员工、博士后研究员、以及本科生和已毕业校友在内的所有中国学生、学者及家属。

  12. 信用卡 • 在美国是一种很常见和方便的付款方式，可以避免随身携带大量现金的麻烦。除了个别地方(如快餐馆)，绝大多数的地方都接受信用卡。 • 申请流程： • 申请：学校附近的“促销”；网上申请 • 信用卡公司审核 • 批准：收到信用卡 • 激活 • 使用 • 付帐单

  13. 信用卡 • 各大信用卡公司大多推出针对学生的信用卡，对信用记录要求较低，适合新生申请并相对容易申请成功，此类信用卡会有一些优惠例如免年费、网上帐务管理、前几个月0% APR等。 • 信用卡公司还会推出一些有积分优惠（reward credit card）或者现金返还（cash back credit card）的信用卡，往往要求更高的信用记录。新生也可以选择申请此类有优惠的信用卡，但是建议在来美国一段时间之后、有一定信用度积累的时候再申请。

  17. Social Security Number (SSN) • 什么是SSN？ • 代表和显示纳税者的身份 • 非常重要！ • SSN的用途 • 申请移动电话、信用卡，开银行账户，考取驾照，或是毕业后申请实习工作许可(OPT, Optional Practical Training) • 建议大家尽早办理！

  22. State ID & Driver’s License (DL) • 简介 • State ID和DL是最常用的身份证件 • 个人照片、出生年月、住址等详细信息 • 可用于搭乘美国国内航班、进酒吧、购买含酒精饮料等 • 请妥善安置您的护照 • State ID不可作为驾驶证明使用
