  2. A Brief Introduction The traditional himachali dress of himachali folks are unique and different from the rest of the world. The himachali women wear ghaghri, lengthy kurta,  salwar and choli which is the shirt. The common identity of the people of Himachal Pradesh is the hand-woven outfits. The  head scarves among women are very famous in Himachal Pradesh. The footwear made of shrubs are helpful in keeping feet warm in extreme cold. The traditional himachali dress represents the great diversity of culture and religion.

  4. The Tribals • The main tribe of Himachal Pradesh is the Gaddis. They also dwell in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and belong to various castes such as Rajputs, Brahmins, Thakur, Rana and Dhangar/Gaderiya. They are shepherds by profession and thus have to bear the full brunt of the harsh weather conditions. To protect themselves from the weather, they wear special coats known as Cholas.

  6. Ornaments and Decorations The jewellery of Himachal Pradesh is unique and beautiful. Like many other areas the conventional style of outfits as well as putting on a costume contains ornaments for all areas of the body. The Oval-shaped exerciser anklets, iron-headed bracelets, locks ornaments, peepal-leaf-shaped temple ornaments, jewellery known as chandanhaars which can be described as a lot of lengthy silver stores linked by etched or enamelled silver plaques and jewellery with elements of the mother goddess are some of the wonderful pieces they usually create.

  8. Kullu Caps Himachali caps have become the new fashion statement everywhere. They are inseparable part of traditional himachali dress. Not only they are the repsentative of the himachali tradition, they can make one the style icon. Different colored hats captivate everyone at first site. The traditional cum fashionable head wear has produced its name from the place of its origin. Locally, it is known as asKullu cap and it is an integral part of a regional man's outfit.

  9. Kullu Shawls Kullu has been well-known for its shawls with stunning geometric styles and brilliant lives. Previously, the Kulivi individuals used to incorporate simply shawls but after the appearance of Bushehari artisan from Rampur, Shimla area of Himachal Pradesh, the pattern of designed handloom came into lifestyle. Typical Kullu shawls have geometric styles on both ends.

  11. Pashmina Shawls Pashmina Shawls are the symbol of himachali tradition and culture.Mostly, light colors, such as red, yellow, green, light red, lemon were used for making pattern and white, dark, grey or brown are used as the base in these shawls.

Pullans Pullans are lawn shoes which are used as footwear.This shoes is made out of materials obtained from the debris of a crazy shrub, locally known as Bhang (Cannabis sativa Linn.).It is a handmade item mostly famous in higher areas of Inner and Outer-Seraj in the Jalori and Bashleo pass areas. They are the icons of traditional himachali dress.
