  2. There has been a great buzz about the three R’s in waste management nowadays; “Reduce”, “Reuse” and “Recycle”. These three methods can bring down the immense pressure caused by the rubbish on natural resources. The blog talks about recycling the waste in the home, office or industry.

  3. What is recycling? The word recycle means processing materials that otherwise would have been thrown away into the trash and making new products out of them. For example, glass, paper, and metals that are thrown into rubbish carelessly can be recycled and turned into profit. It causes less harm to the environment and saves filling-up of landfillsunnecessarily. The important step is to segregate and sort the rubbish before the waste moves to the trenching ground. Not only metals but old furniture, clothes, E-waste (electronic goods such as computers and mobile phones), industrial scrape, roofing and siding material, wires and cables and so on.

  4. Benefits of recycling You earn money The first benefit is you make money by recycling the waste. Many items lying around our home can be sold to scrape vendors who pay handsome cash for it. Items such as old furniture and fixture, computers and accessories, plastic furniture, metal containers, clothes, and electrical appliances are sold at a high price. You conserve valuable resources When you recycle the stuff instead of throwing, you reduce the pressure on the production of new items. Thus, you save natural resources such as fuel. You save on the production cost and efforts.

  5. You save water and electricity. Thus, recycling is the ‘GREEN’ method of waste management. You help the environment Yes, by recycling you reduce the emission of Greenhouse gases. When you save landfill space and non-reusable resources, it is a significant support to the environment. It is needless to say that recycling reduces pollution.

  6. It is a mandatory thing, not optional! Experts say that recycling is not a choice and way of life, but it is the ‘need of the day’. The more we encourage it, the better will be our world. It should become a habit of every citizen. For this, the concepts of recycling have to be inculcated into the mind of every individual. More awareness is required to spread the importance and criticality of it. Every bit of energy and resource saved improves the environment and improves living conditions. Hence, recycling has to be promoted and followed by every individual.
