  2. Regeneration requires learning opportunities to enable communities to engage with the new opportunities which arise A local ICT infrastructure is vital in combating the digital exclusion faced by marginalised communities Partnership working is necessary to promote learning opportunities

  3. ICT skills are necessary to support community development and employability Individualised learning designed and focused on ‘real’ tasks e.g. community-based websites, Youth Information Services Assessment by ‘stealth’ Learner achievement

  4. Examples of Success • Community-based ICT Learning Network of 16 centres supported by the College • 1400 registered users of the centres • Supporting community websites – Greater Easterhouse Pathfinder www.greathereasterhouse.co.uk • Youth Access Project • East End Internet Radio project
