  4. 1. TRIVENI GHAT Triveni Ghat is one of the most famous and sacred ghat and is one the best places to visit in Rishikesh located on the bank of holy river Ganga. It is situated in Mayakund, Rishikesh (Uttarakhand). It is a confluence of three rivers namely Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. The main attraction of the Triveni ghat is Ganga aarti in which priests offer their prayers to the river Ganga by singing and holding bells. Thousands of devotees offer their prayers at the ghat everyday and it is considered that sins of the people are washed away if they take a dip in the Ganga. LAXMAN JHULA Laxman Jhula also attracts the people’s minds towards it as it is the bridge on the river which has the height of 70 ft and this bridge interconnects two villages one is known as Tapovan and the other is Jonk. It is believed that Lord Ram’s younger brother Laxman once crossed river Ganga between those points where now the bridge stands. There is also belief that the sacred footprints can be found near the bridge. Laxman Jhula gives you an exciting view of the river and in the night time it gives you one of the best views as you can witness the glow of the bridge with lights. There is also a Tera Manzil temple (13-story temple) located nearby which gives you an amazing view of Ganges. It is situated near the top of Nar Narayan Mountain chain near the Swarg Ashram. Many Devotees pay a visit to this temple as it holds a Positive energy. It is also known that During the Samundra Manthan when the poison got released from the serpent named Vasuki which could destroy the Universe, Lord Shiva was the one who came and consumed the poison due to which his throat turned blue (Neela) after which he was named as Neelkanth Mahadev. Also the walls of the temple interpret the whole story of Samundra Manthan in the form of sculptures. Also there is a trek of 22 km from Laxman Jhula to Neelkanth Mahadev temple with beautiful nature beauty views. Every day many people visit the temple to worship Lord Shiva.   8. 5. NEER GARH WATERFALL Neer Garh waterfall is a beautiful place in Rishikesh. It’s just 5 kms away from Laxman Jhula and you can easily get a taxi to reach the location. To reach the waterfall there is a small trek of 20 – 30 mins consisting of various waterfalls and also there are few stalls to keep your empty stomach full. It is all surrounded by nature. Additionally, there is a Maggi point if you are hungry.
