Are your pores clogged and you’ve got blackheads and whiteheads? This seems like an exemplary instance of oily skin. Don’t fret though, as when you grow older you will be grateful for it. This is because if your skin is oily, you age slower as compared to people with dry skin. So that means if you have oily skin, wrinkles and fine lines take longer to develop! But armed with the right home remedies, you can totally make your skin look flawless and fabulous. In Her Magic, you can find a way,how to make your skin oil-free with these face packs which can help you save time, energy and even your money. Chickpea and Curd: Take a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of chickpea flour in it. Take some curd and whip it till it becomes smooth. Add this to the chickpea flour. There’s no fixed quantity of the curd to be added, it will depend on the consistency you want. The mixture you have should be consistent enough to apply on your face without it dripping. Allow the mixture to stay on your face till it dries, for up to 20 minutes max. Once the mixture has dried, moisten the mask a little and scrub the face in a circular motion.
Honey and Lemon Juice: Lemon juice helps to lower the acidic levels of the skin and even de-tans the skin. Honey acts as a moisturizer. To use these, squeeze out some lemon in a bowl and apply it to your skin. Expect a little stinging, but if it stings too much, dilute the lemon juice with some rose water. Let it stay on the skin for 15 minutes before you wash it off. Thereafter, apply some honey on your face to moisturize and let it sit for a few minutes before you wash it off. If the honey becomes difficult to apply, dilute it with rose water as well. Fuller’s Earth and Lemon Juice: Fuller’s earth is great for skin relief, especially oiliness. All you need to do is take 2 tablespoons in a bowl and add approximately 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to it. Mix them together. If the mixture is too thick and not consistent enough to apply on the skin, then add more lemon juice till it can be applied easily. Leave it on your skin for 15 minutes till it dries off or is at least semi-dry. Wash with cold water. Orange, Sandal, Fuller’s Earth, Lemon Juice, Neem and Honey: This is a more complex face pack, but it will not just reduce the oiliness of your skin, but also moisturize it and leave it glowing. The quantities you’ll need will vary depending on how much you want to make. Take the orange peel, sandal, neem and fuller’s earth, all powdered, in a bowl and mix them together. To this add honey and lemon juice in equal proportions. To make it easier to apply, you can even add rosewater but only in half the proportion of the other liquid ingredients. The mixture is to be applied on the face for 20 minutes before being washed off. Turmeric, Cucumber, Rice Flour and Honey: This face pack helps to reduce the oiliness, heals the damaged skin and moisturizes it very well. Take a bowl with a single teaspoon of turmeric powder in it. Add a tablespoon of rice flour to the turmeric and mix it well. Grate some cucumber in a separate bowl and squeeze out the juice. Add a teaspoon of this juice to the bowl along with a teaspoon of honey. Mix to form a paste, which is to be applied to the skin for 15 minutes. Wash it off thereafter. For all these recipes, the best effect can be attained if you use organic ingredients. Be careful to use cold water on your skin. Using warm water opens up the pores, making the skin sensitive and prone to picking up dirt from the environment. While we have specified quantities in the recipes, feel free to alter them depending on your skin’s need. Mess around with the ingredients till you find the perfect match for your skin!
