  1. How data damage can be repaired through Rebuild data utility?

  2. We will go through the use of Rebuild data utility for repairing data damage.

  3. If you are not able to back up your QuickBooks company file, then Rebuild data utility can be used to bypass the backup part of the process. Follow the below mentioned steps for it

  4. Choose Windows and then Close All in the menu bar.

  5. Now from the ,emu bar, choose File and then click on • Utilities Then from your keyboard. press and hold CTRL key

  6. Now on the utilities menu, choose Rebuild Data.

  7. If a message saying ‘Before rebuilding your data, QuickBooks will need to close all open Windows’ appears then QB will not bypass the data file back up. Choose OK, and then cancel the backup and repeat from Step 1. • Now leave the CTRL key

  8. Then QB will display the message ‘REBUILD: Rebuilding without first backing up of the company file is not recommended. Are you sure you want to continue?

  9. Click on OK and the Rebuild • Data Utility will run.
