EXPORT DECLARATION NUMBER This provides details about goods which form the subject matter of Export. This is required by the Exporter at the port of Export. Details of the nature and quantity of the goods are submitted to the Customs Department which processes this information and issues an Export Declaration Number (EDN). This provides systematization about the data and a check and verification documents on permissible exports. Sometimes there might be an additional requirement to also submit an export licence or Certificate of Origin.
