What is elearning? • Teaching and learning online, delivered, anywhere, anytime, any place, using communication tools, content and resources which can be accessed online. • It is an interactive learning experience delivered over the Internet, normally through a virtual learning environment (VLE).  It may or may not include face-to-face interaction with tutors/teachers and others.

  4. OLTE elearning • Collaborative learning experience • Community of learners • Blended • Tutor facilitated

  5. Ultimate aims • Wider choice and increased access to courses; • More personalised learning appropriate to individual needs; • Increased access to resources and tutors; • Increased motivation; • Increased participation levels; • Improved results.
