THE TEAM MISSION To MOLD young men and women through CHARACTER building and LIFESKILLS training to become productive STUDENTS and model CITIZENS while learning the importance of HARD WORK, DEDICATION and COMMITMENT to track and field.

PRACTICE Monday – Friday Rain or Shine! 3:40 to 6 pm
GRADES TO PARTICIPATE YOU MUST: • Pass 5 out of 7 classes this semester • Be on track to graduate • Have proper credits: 2nd Year Athlete: 5 credits 3rd Year Athlete: 11 credits 4th Year Athlete: 17 credits • Grades monitored weekly (form on website) - Students below 75 in course must attend morning or afternoon tutorial

All practices mandatory – conflicts must be worked out with Coach Mattair before practice. • 1 unexcused absence = Suspension from 1 meet. • 2 unexcused absences = Expulsion from team. • Tardy Athletes must present appropriate pass and complete all of scheduled workout. • Athletes returning from full day out of school must present coaches with pass from attendance office. • Report aches, pains, injuries immediately to Coach – workouts modified at Coach’s discretion. • Injured athletes are expected to attend practice. • Sitting out of practice during week could result in missing upcoming meet.
Wear good running shoes for practice, bring spikes daily. • Wear suitable, comfortable practice clothing for weather - long pants/tights are daily requirement. • No jewelry allowed during practice or competition. • No Cell Phones, IPODS, other devices during practice. • Warm-up adequately before each of your events. • Always jog 2 cool down laps following your event.
Only CCHS coaches and athletes are allowed on track, competition infield and weight room. • Parents can attend practice, but must remain in stadium bleachers. • Parent cheering welcomed - coaching prohibited. • Athletes encouraged to come to track coaches about track-related issues. • Athletes encouraged to ride team bus to meets and expected to remain for duration of meet. • Athletes not riding bus must be approved by Coach Mattair, expected to arrive 90 minutes prior to their event.
Bring a water bottle to practice and meets. • Eat healthy for practice and meets. • Sack lunches & water at meets are for competing athletes ONLY. • No concession food during meets. • Keep team tent area clean at all times during meet. • Maintain appropriate behavior and language in community, during school, practice and meets. • Written referrals handled by coaches accordingly. • USE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR ANY FORM OF ILLEGAL DRUGS = IMMEDIATE EXPULSION from team. • Grades monitored weekly (form on website under handouts).

SUPER SUNDAY TEAM EVENT • Sunday Feb. 5 9a.m. – Noon • Calvary Church, Chamblee-Dunwoody Road • Contribution to team for 10+ athletes and for largest team • Parents and friends welcome • Wear CCHS Track spirit wear
