SAT-10 Reminders • Untimed Test Administration • No extra marks in Test Books • Administration Schedule • SAT-10 Reading Comprehension Thursday, July 5, 2007 • Make-Up Administrations Friday, July 6, 2007 • Materials will be distributed based on the number of students who should be enrolled at each site.

  3. Administration Accommodations • Who is eligible? • ESE students with current IEPs • LEP students • 504 students (Arrangements made in advance) • Possible Accommodations ESE/504 Students • Presentation • Responding • Scheduling • Setting • Assistive Devices LEP Students • Flexible Setting • Flexible Scheduling • Flexible Timing • Assistance with Directions in the heritage language • Approved Translation Dictionary

  4. Materials Needed • Directions for Administering • Test Booklets • #2 Pencils • Clock or watch • “Do Not Disturb” signs • Student Labels • Contain student name, date of birth, ID number (external number), school name and number • Must hand grid ESE exceptionality, 504 information, and LEP status (Sections 10 and 11) using page 7 from the Directions for Administering

  5. Affixing Student Labels • Verify Student information is correct. Labels with incorrect information should NOT be used. • Check that no information is missing. Write in any missing information (sections 1 & 7). • If information is INCORRECT, do NOT use label; write in student information in sections 1 and 7 of the test book • If it is correct, place the label on the student test book in the box. • Complete ESE/504/LEP information (Sections 10 & 11) using page 7 from the Directions for Administering

  6. Test Invalidation • If any of the following occurs: • Cheating or disruptive behavior • Illness during testing • Incorrect time • Incorrect preidentified information • Defective test/answer book • Write Invalid in red on the front cover of the test book. • Return with Not To Be Scored materials if test is invalidated

  7. Administration Record • Maintain a record of • All students participating in the SAT-10 • Students absent on the regular administration date • The date absent students make-up the test • Students whose testbooks are invalidated • Keep a copy of the forms and return the originals to Student Assessment & School Performance

Test Security DO NOT • Reveal or copy test items • Interpret items for students • Change or interfere with student responses • Fail to follow security procedures and test administration directions • leave materials unsecured DO • Collect materials daily • Place materials in locked storage • If materials are missing, • initiate a thorough investigation • IMMEDIATELY contact Student Assessment & School Performance at (754) 321-4250

  9. Proctors • Additional proctors when testing 25 or more students • “Administrative Assistants” • School system personnel vs.Non-school system volunteers

Test Administrator Responsibilities Before Testing: • Prepare room for testing by covering all visual aids • Receive materials needed for testing • Check student labels • Complete ESE/504/LEP information (Sections 10 & 11) using page 7 from the Directions for Administering During Testing: • Distribute materials • Read appropriate scripts VERBATIM (Directions Pages 9-13) • Keep time • Maintain test security After Testing: • Collect materials • Check student grid sheets • Complete the Administration Record • Notify School Coordinator of any missing materials

  11. Test Administrator Material Return Stack materials in this order: • Absent students (hold for make-up) • TO BE SCORED test materials • Directions for Administering • Administration Record • All NOT TO BE SCORED materials (Unused and Invalidated test books)

  12. School Coordinator Responsibilities Before Testing: • Receive and inventory test materials • Train Test Administrators • Arrange for implementation of accommodations • Assign proctors During Testing: • Supervise test administration • Maintain test security • Supervise make-up administrations

School Coordinator Responsibilities After Testing: • Verify return of all secure materials • Notify Student Assessment & School Performance of any missing materials • Complete Materials Return Form • Check and photocopy Administration Record • Complete Customer Survey:(http://www.broward.k12.fl.us/studentassessment/Assessment%20Forms.htm) • Complete Scoring Services Identification Sheet (School, grade, number of documents, and school number)

School Coordinator Material Return (SAT-10) Materials for Pick up Friday, July 6: • Scoring Service Identification Sheet • Completed TO BE SCORED test books Materials for Pick up Monday, July 9: • Completed Materials Return Form • Scoring Service Identification Sheet (Make-up) • TO BE SCORED test books (Make-up) • Directions for Administering • Administration Record • NOT TO BE SCORED materials (Unused and Invalidated Materials) • Missing Booklet Letter (If Applicable)

School Coordinator Material Return (SAT-10) Continued • Student Assessment staff will begin picking up materials the morning of Friday, July 6th. • Please have all completed test books prepared for return following the initial administration of SAT-10 on July 5th. • The NOT TO BE SCORED and make-up administration materials should be packed and ready for Monday morning pony pick up. • If all materials are ready for pick up Friday, July 6th Student Assessment staff will take all your materials.
