1. The Pearl AnnotationsChapter Suggestions Imagery – Setting Details – Write specific lines in quotations of imagery used in the setting.
Descriptive language – List descriptive language
Symbolism – scorpion, songs of ___, caged bird. Explain the symbolism of each.
Similes – List similes in quotations
Personification – List phrases in quotation marks that are personified.
Vocabulary – List vocabulary you do not know and define.
Questions – Write down passages that make you question things that happen in each chapter.
