  1. Seven Habits That Can Offend Your flight attendant

  2. Flying is supposed to be an exciting and delightful experience for travellers. And, your flight attendants help ensure that your journey goes well by providing excellent in-flight service. At 36,000 feet above ground level, they are your first and foremost safety professionals.  This also means that you do not want to piss them off, no matter the reason! So, to help you with this, here are some tips on what you should not do when you are flying to avoid making your flight attendants angry.

  3. Actions you should avoid to not annoy your flight attendant Touching a crew member without consent: It would help if you remembered that flight attendants are at your service during the journey but aren’t your property. This means you cannot touch them to get their attention. If you want their help, you can say excuse me or ma’am/sir. Pocking or touching any part of their body is offensive and unacceptable. Asking for water soon after boarding: Boarding a flight is more hassling for the crew than for passengers. In those few minutes, they had to get everyone seated and buckled up so they could close the boarding door. Unfortunately, many passengers ask for a water bottle during these precious moments, which hinders work. Thus, as a responsible flyer, you are suggested to take the pill while waiting in the gate area, so you don’t ask for it soon after boarding the flight.

  4. Going to the washroom at the wrong time: It is understood that you cannot always control the urge to pee. But, whenever you can, you should try. You should avoid going to the lavatory when the attendants are in the aisle handling the water bottles. It is hard to balance the tray when someone is trying to squeeze past through the narrow alley. Asking to act as personal connection concierge: Suppose you are traveling on a T2 arrival Delhiflight and have a connecting flight from IGI. But, while coming to Delhi, your plane got delayed. What will you do now? In these circumstances, most flyers approach the attendants to get answers. They request more information and ask them about their connections. But, one needs to understand that crew members get to know about the delays at the same time as passengers. So, bugging them with questions would be of no use.

  5. Stretching in the middle of the aisle: When flyers are in for a long-distance journey, they want to stretch a little bit. But, they need to be mindful of where they are doing so. Passengers are recommended not to stretch in the middle of the aisle as it hassles the attendants.  Clipping nails during the air journey: During the air journey, you might have a lot of time on your hands, but this doesn’t mean you start clipping your nails on the flight. Avoid it. So, these are a few habits that most flight attendants find annoying. Therefore, it is advised to avoid these activities for a hassle-free and happy journey.
