Itemized Equipment • Five main categories: • Multimedia Projectors • Document Cameras • Digital Whiteboard Solutions • Media/Production Equipment • Poster Printers • All other equipment will be purchased from catalog (percentage off catalog pricing).
General Bid Highlights • Term of Bid Contract: Two years • Minimum three-year warranty required for all itemized equipment. • Basic equipment training to be included in cost. • Installation/setup is included for digital white-boards. • Replacements for discontinued items will be evaluated by SBBC prior to acceptance.
More Highlights • Emerging Technology clause allows SBBC to release quotes for additional items during the course of the bid. • Only awardees of the bid will be eligible to respond to quotes (quotes will include bundled classroom solutions in addition to new and emerging technology elements).
Warranty/Repair • BECON and/or MTS to be certified as Manufacturer Authorized Repair Facility for all itemized equipment. • Single point of contact for repairs. • Ability to recover warranty/repair costs. • Ability to purchase replacement parts at cost after warranty period.
Purchasing Catalog Items • Equipment for which there are STND or similar items cannot be purchased from a catalog (e.g. multimedia projectors, document cameras, etc.) • Research products with multiple vendors • Consider shelf-life vs. cost and changing of technology • Be aware of the fact that only certain items/brands may be repaired internally by SBBC • Don’t expect BECON/MTS to repair everything!
