ARB Diesel Fuel Lubricity Recommendations • Modern high pressure common rail diesel engines require better fuel lubricity • High P, common rail is a critical enabler for lower emissions • Adopt two-phase approach now: • 520 HFRR effective immediately • 460 HFRR effective in 2006 (or earlier) • Review CRC or other data to determine whether an earlier or more stringent specification is needed
