  2. Red Egocentric Consciousness Red Egocentric consciousness generally gets bad press associating it entirely with aggressive and violent action. It is certainly correct to associate it with action. And though it’s true it has a cruel and inconsiderate side, its successes need to be counted along with its excesses. During the emergence of red egocentric behavior humankind escaped from its total isolation in kinsfolk tribes to purposeful living with strangers in large settlements. This key step on the way to civilization could only have occurred because of an assertion and acceptance of leadership. Purple Magical consciousness had mostly inadequate leadership. In red consciousness both the majesty and horror of leadership will develop.

  25. Healthy Red Egocentric Consciousness These same people domesticated the horse to become the world’s source of power for the next six thousand years. They learned how to build elaborate buildings in their cities with arches and columns and how to deliver water to fields and households. Red is a tremendous consciousness but only the healthy memes should be included in higher consciousness and the unhealthy memes thoroughly transcended.
