  1. Anxiety: Four Popular Treatment Options Anxiety disorders continue to increase daily. The statistics are startling. Some say that this disorder was not recognised in the past and that accounts for the millions of new cases that are seen in counselling centres. Some say that children are put under too much pressure, resulting in more of these disorders developing at an early age. Whatever the cause, the fact is that cases continue to rise. Fortunately, there is help. These four popular treatment options for anxiety are helping individuals feel more like themselves. Medication Medication is a popular option to take the edge off severe symptoms while patients undergo other forms of therapy. For example, working with a psychotherapist is a popular option to cure anxiety, but a person still needs to be able to live their life while they are going through counselling. Therefore, therapists might choose to prescribe medication immediately. Despite this being a popular option, it is often found that individuals are not able to enjoy their anxiety being cured with just medication alone. Often, other forms of treatment are essential if it is to be cured. Exercise Exercise has been proven to help relive the symptoms of various mental disorders, including depression and anxiety. This is a wonderful thing because it is a natural remedy, but it can be hard to get clients that have this disorder to commit to following a regular routine. The very thing that can help patients may also trigger their symptoms, especially if social situations are hard.

  2. Encouraging patients to invest in equipment that can be used at home is one solution. Another solution is that patients might want to wait until their symptoms are under control before undertaking a new plan. Yoga and meditation These two practices can provide relief for the various symptoms that many people are plagued with daily. This is usually easier for clients to commit to daily. Patients enjoy being able to do them on their own time, they like that they can do them in their home, and they enjoy the fact that they can find a few minutes of relief in just a few minutes of the day. This is a great way for patients to learn deep breathing techniques that can help produce calming effects if symptoms strike while a person is in public. A quick trip to the bathroom and some deep breathing can help offset a panic attack before it starts. Psychotherapist Psychotherapy is a very effective option for individuals suffering with this mental disorder. If requires a lot of time and effort on the patient’s part, but the effects are longer lasting than other treatment methods. Psychotherapy is an umbrella term that encompasses several different types of psychotherapy that are done with a psychotherapist. The most common one used for this mental disorder is called cognitive behavioural therapy. This form of therapy involves working with a psychotherapist to help patients identify problematic thoughts or thought patterns and slowly transform them into more positive thoughts. Patients can also learn how to identify their triggers, and a psychotherapist can teach ways to deal with them. Overall, this form of therapy often leads to patients being able to enjoy life again. About Us: London Therapy Foundation consists of a full team of therapists, many of which specialise in a particular area. This organisation strives to help heal individuals through therapy in order to alleviate the signs and symptoms of anything causing emotional distress, including alcohol, drug addiction, family problems and marital problems, among other things. Therapists are all trained and many are accredited. Flexible hours allow patients to see a therapist around their own personal schedule instead of having to take off work. London Therapy Foundation also provides services for member therapists, such as affordable therapy rooms, education, an area to collaborate with other like-minded individuals and more.
