What is the CWFC? ….We are a non-profit statewide organization that is comprised of city, County, state and federal employees who’s capacity is to identify, support and resolve fraud related issues in a collaborative partnership.
History of CWFC • The Colorado District Attorney’s Council was the parent organization for CWFC along with the Colorado Family Support Council. The 1st meeting occurred on February 24th, 1984 where the CWFC Constitution and By-laws were established and later adopted. • In May 1989, the general membership approved separation of the Colorado Welfare Fraud Council from the Colorado District Attorney’s Council. • CWFC continues to maintain a cooperative relationship with the Colorado District Attorney’s Council.
What are our goals? • To provide information and training to: • Those that review and approve benefits • Those whom investigate reported abuse and misuse of benefits programs. • Those involved in administrating the benefits • And…

We provide a Resource Guide • Once becoming a CWFC member, a membership guide that covers nearly all aspects of the job related to fraud matters is provided to each new member, without cost.
