dreadful • If something is dreadful, then it is scary or terrible. • The lizard was making a dreadful noise. • Which is more dreadful, a test or Saturday chores? • Think of something dreadful; noise, food, or experience. • Turn to your partner and share.
summoning • When summoning someone, you are calling for the person to come. • Was anyone summoning you to breakfast this morning?
nuisance • Something or someone that bothers you. • What noises can be a nuisance when you are studying?
sedentary • A sedentary job or lifestyle is where you are sitting down most of the time. • Is it better for your health to be active or sedentary?
oblige • When you oblige someone you are helping the person. • Do you oblige your friends when they need your help with homework? • Think about a time when you obliged; friend, parents, or sibling. • Turn to your partner and share.
boasting • Being boasting is telling others something wonderful about herself or himself. • Have you been told that you are boasting? • Think about your partner and what you could say to them that would be boasting. • Turn to your partner and share.

inevitable • Something that can not be stopped or avoided. • It is inevitable that Wilbur will not spin a web. • Is it inevitable that best friends have a lot in common, or can they be very different?
