For the last decade or so videoconferencing has been all the rage providing a valuable resource for various sized companies who wish to talk business face-to-face without being in the same location. This up and coming industry has been traditionally dominated by tech companies such as Cisco and Polycom who offer superior products in the telecommunication services business. However, last Thursday Google announced its’ latest product service which looks to challenge the preconceived notion that these typical corporations control the market. Entitled ‘Chromebox For Meetings’, this service includes a Chromebox, a 1080p HD camera, a combo microphone and speaker, and a remote with a QWERTY keyboard on the back. While this traditional set-up might not surprise you the services’ ability to synchronize with other Google Applications such as Google Hangouts, which it runs on.
