  1. A  TIP  THAT  COULD  SAVE  YOUR   LIFE   Did  you  know  your  iPhone  could   potenAally  save  your  life  in  a  medical   emergency?  

  2.        Much  like  Medical  ID  bracelets,  this  liLle-­‐ known  feature  stores  important  medical   informaAon  in  your  iPhone,  which  can  be   accessed  even  if  the  phone  is  locked.    

  3.        The  feature  is  part  of  the  phone’s  Health  app   and  allows  you  to  store  details  such  as  medical   condiAons,  allergies,  medicaAons  you  take  and   your  blood  type  as  well  as  emergency  contact   details  

  4.      Basically,  in  the  unfortunate  case  that  you  are   found  unconscious  or  unable  to  communicate,   your  iPhone  can  provide  invaluable   informaAon  to  first  responders  and  medical   staff.   1.  Open  the  Health  app  

  5. How  to  set  up  a  Medical  ID?   1.  Open  the  Health  app  

  6. 2.  Tap  “Medical  ID”  on  the  boLom  right  hand   corner     3.  Tap  “Create  Medical  ID”  

  7. 4.  Fill  in  all  relevant  informaAon,  including   emergency  contact  numbers  from  your  contact   list     5.  Make  sure  ‘Show  When  Locked’  is  enabled  

  8.        Now,  if  you  hit  the  ‘Emergency’  opAon  on  your   lock  screen,  an  opAon  called  ‘Medical  ID’  will   appear  in  the  boLom  le]  hand  corner,   displaying  your  informaAon.
