  2. Birthplace/Dates of life • Pele was born on October 23, 1940 in Tres Coracoes, Brazil • Pele is still alive at the age of 66 years old Pele was born here

  3. Early Childhood • Dad's name is Dondhino • His mom made very little money • His mom didn't want him to play soccer because his dad played and made very little money • Pele's dad played on a team called the Shoeless Ones –This was his first team he played on

  4. Middle Childhood/Early Adult life • When Pele was 14 he had a knee injury and couldn't play till he was 17 • At the age of 21 he was rated best player of the world • On Pele's extra time he played soccer on the street

  5. Family Life • Pele married Rosemarie in 1966 • Pele had 3 children with Rosemarie • Divorced Rosemarie in 1986 • Remarried to Assiria in 1994 • Pele had 2 children with Assiria • Also he had a daughter who died at the of 42

  9. Why do I Think Pele is a Hero • I think Pele is a hero because, he changed the aspect of soccer and did a lot of things to help children get better at soccer such as, he held clinics in the summer for children after he retired.
