  3. VIDEO Viewing a VideotapePage 1 of 3 • To view a videotape check out the Access Kit from the Service Desk. • 1. Turn on the flat screen by pressing the POWER button on the flat screen remote control. • a. The light in the bottom right corner of the screen will turn from red to green ˜ . • 2. Push the INPUT button on the flat screen remote until the word “VIDEO” appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Main Menu

  4. Viewing a VideotapePage 2 of 3 • Turn on the computer by pressing the Optiflex 280 button. (It is not necessary to logon.) • Turn on the speakers with the ON/OFF knob; a green light will be seen. • Be considerate of your Library neighbors and adjust the volume only as loud as necessary.   5. Viewing a Videotape:Using the VCR Page 3 of 3 • Insert the videotape into the VCR. • REWIND the videotape to be sure the tape starts from the beginning. • 7. After the tape is completely rewound, press the VCR PLAY button to view the tape. • 8. When you are done watching the videotape, rewind the tape, press the VCR STOP/EJECT button, remove the tape and put it back in the case. • 9. Turn off the flat screen by pressing the POWER button on the remote. • a. The light in the bottom right corner of the screen will turn from green to red ˜. • 10. Return the videotape and Access Kit to the Service Desk. Main Menu

  6. RGB2 Viewing a DVDPage 1 of 5 • To view a DVD check out the Access Kit from the Service Desk. • 1. Turn on the flat screen by pressing the POWER button on the flat screen remote control. • a. The light in the bottom right corner of the screen will turn from red to green ˜ . • 2. Push the INPUT button on the flat screen remote until “RGB2” appears in the upper right corner of the screen.   8. Viewing a DVDPage 3 of 5 • Logon to the computer • Push the button under the top drawer to open it. • Load the DVD into the top drawer of the computer. (Second drawer is for CDs). • Carefully place the DVD in the drawer (printed label side up). • Push the button under the drawer to close it. Main Menu

  9. Viewing a DVDPage 4 of 5 • Double click the MY COMPUTER icon on the desktop. • Click, hold and drag the “DVD Title” (D:) icon onto the desktop. Drop it on the PowerDVD icon • After about 5 seconds (loading time) the PowerDVD software will play the DVD. • Clicking the right mouse button once displays the DVD control menu. Click the right mouse again to remove the menu. • Double click the left mouse button anywhere on the DVD image to view the DVD full screen. • Double click the left mouse button again to restore the computer desktop. Viewing a DVDPage 5 of 5 • When you are through watching the DVD push the button under the top drawer to eject the DVD. • Carefully remove the DVD, place it back in its case and push the button under the top drawer to close it. • Be sure to sign off the computer and Shut Down. • Turn off the flat screen by pressing the POWER button on the remote. • a. The light in the bottom right corner of the screen will turn from green to red ˜. • Return the DVD and Access Kit to the Service Desk. Main Menu

  11. RGB2 Using the ComputerPage 1 of 3 • To use the computer check out the Access Kit from the Service Desk. • 1. Turn on the flat screen by pressing the POWER button on the flat screen remote control. • a. The light in the bottom right corner of the screen will turn from red to green ˜ . • 2. Push the INPUT button on the flat screen remote until “RGB2” appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Main Menu

Using the ComputerPage 3 of 3 • Logon to the computer and it is ready for use. • When you are through using the computer be sure to sign off and Shut Down. • Turn off the flat screen by pressing the POWER button on the remote. • a. The light in the bottom right corner of the screen will turn from green to red ˜. • Return the Access Kit to the Service Desk. Main Menu

Using the Mouse in the AirPage 1 of 1 • The mouse can be used while being held in the air like a flashlight. • It is not necessary to point the mouse at the screen. • Pull and hold the trigger with your index finger to start the mouse tracking the movement of your wrist up and down or left and right. • Use your thumb to left and right click or use the scroll wheel. • For greater accuracy, move the cursor over the target and release the trigger, then left or right click using your thumb. • Double click the trigger to keep the cursor continuously active (tracking your movements). • Double click the trigger again to turn off the continuously active mode. 4. 3. Helpful HintsPage 1 of 3 • Logon the computer with Caps Lock OFF. • Flat screen remote INPUT “VIDEO” is for watching VCR/Videotape. • Flat screen remote INPUT “RGB2” is for using the computer and watching DVDs. • The top computer drawer is for DVDs. • 2 USB ports are available behind the flip-up door at the bottom of the computer front panel. • Use the keyboard facing the screen. On your lap works fine. Main Menu

Helpful HintsPage 2 of 3 • Check the computer sound levels. • Double click the Speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen and adjust the slider controls up. • Uncheck the MUTE boxes. • Check the keyboard sound adjustments • Adjust volume up or down with the top row keyboard “+” and “-“ keys. • Push the top row keyboard MUTE key to be sure keyboard Mute is OFF. Activate both by … • Pressing the Receiver LEARN button in the Antennauntil the Status light blinks slowly. • Then hold down the TEACH button, on the bottom of the mouse, for 2 seconds until the Receiver Status light blinks rapidly, then … • Hold down the TEACH button, on the bottom of the keyboard, for 2 seconds until the Receiver Status light again blinks rapidly. • DO NOT press the Receiver LEARN button a second time after activating the first device. NOTE: DO NOT press the Channel button at any time. Main Menu
