MC-OECN & INFOhio • INFOhio administratively reports to the Management Council of the Ohio Education Computer Network (MC-OECN) • INFOhio delivers its services through 23 regional Information Technology Centers (ITCs).
MC-OECN & INFOhio • Library Services is one of the five core services, which must be provided by each ITC, as mandated in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC). http://codes.ohio.gov/oac/3301-3-01

INFOhio Subsidy Specifics FY 2012/FY 2013 • Of the foregoing appropriation item 200426, Ohio Educational Computer Network • Up to $1,440,000 in each fiscal year shall be used for the Union Catalog and INFOhio Network and to support the provision of electronic resources with priority given to resources that support the teaching of state academic content standards in all public schools. INFOhio Subsidy Breakdown • From the INFOhio Subsidy, a % goes to the ITC for Library Automation Support. • NEOMIN uses the $$ from INFOhio to offset the costs of library services.

HB 153 Educational Shared Services Model • Section 267.50.90. • “The Governor's Director of 21st Century Education shall develop a plan for the integration and consolidation of the publicly supported regional shared services organizations serving Ohio's public and chartered nonpublic schools, including recommendations for implementation of the plan beginning July 1, 2012.” HB 153 (Biennial Operating Budget)
HB 153 Educational Shared Services Model • “In preparing the plan, the Director shall recommend educational support organizations to be considered for integration into the educational service center system. The organizations to be considered for integration shall include, but shall not be limited to, education technology centers, information technology centers, area media centers, Ohio's statewide system of support, the education regional service system, regional advisory boards, and regional staff from the Department of Education providing direct support to school districts.” HB 153 (Biennial Operating Budget)
