Guidelines for Implementing the EBRPSS Curriculum • All teachers (regular, exceptional students, gifted, magnet, and honors) are expected to implement the EBRPSS Curriculum. • Teachers may not reorder units; this can be done at the district level only. • Teachers are given a variety of options to choose from when implementing the curriculum, depending on their students’ needs

  9. Guidelines continued… • Activities are not lesson plans. • EBRPSS Curriculum, not the textbook, determines what is taught. • Textbooks are to be used as a resource, i.e. • Prerequisite lessons • Introductory material for activity • Vocabulary

  10. EBRPSS Curriculum The EBRPSS Curriculum is a work in progress. It is a “Living Document” that will be amended, supplemented, and updated as needed.

Other Services from the Curriculum Department • On-site training for new or struggling teachers • Assistance in lesson planning • Resources via e-mail and Blackboard • Professional Development workshops • An outlet to voice comments, suggestions, and concerns regarding curriculum and implementation policies • Resources for iLEAP, LEAP, and GEE 21 testing
