String-pulling • Best way for the meat to be obtained is by using a combination of pulling and stepping • For pull-up task, grab string with beak, pull up, step on string loop, let go of the string, repeat • For pull-down task, same thing only pulling down instead of pulling up • Results
Scrounging • Co-feeding with wolves • Scrounging tactic most used was displacing • When no more food could be taken from the site, stealing increased and displacing decreased • Co-feeding with boars • Sharing more common among the this site than the wolves site • While, more individuals with food were targets of displacing at the wolf site than the boar site
Social Settings • Misleading others for a chance at food • For days one through eighteen • When Hugin would find the box with the reward, Munin would displace him from the opened box • For days nineteen through thirty-eight • Munin still targeted Hugin most of the time, so Hugin always lost the opened box
