1. A Solution to Gun Violence Being safe is one end of the spectrum. Being caught in the midst of gun violence is the harsh reality on the other end of the spectrum. A lot has to done to achieve some semblance of a balance in this scenario present currently. The problem of gun violence has plagued the United States of America more in the recent past than ever before. There needs to be a proper solution to address this problem of gun violence. Gun violence in simple terms is the violence that occurs because of the use of a small fire arm, gun. This may or may not be considered as

2. criminal. Accidental firing or unintentional injury and death are considered as non-criminal; while homicide and attempted suicides are treated as criminal offense. Having a gun in trained hands is much more different than a gun in the hands of an untrained person. Yes, these are days where self- protection and self-defence is of utmost importance. But being a trained professional in self-defence and in the usage of small firearms like a gun, pistol etc. is equally of utmost importance. Every person who has a fire arm should have the licence to hold the gun and should have undergone the mandatory training requirement under certified operators. One of the main organisations that provides the mandatory firearms certified training and brings out certified instructors is the NRA. NRA is short for National rifle association. The NRA was established way back in 1871 and has since then undergone many changes; but it was always committed to training, education and marksmanship. The NRA has continued its efforts in the arenas of education & training, both in the hunting community and in civilian training. In civilian training, NRA continues to be a leader in the education of firearms. TheNRA certified courses churn out NRA certified instructors every year. These certified courses are available in the basic riffle, pistol, shotgun firearms, personal protection, youth protection and women protection. All the courses stress on safety, fundamentals, equipment handling, physical and mental training etc. The NRA also stresses importance of concealed carry classes and concealed carry weapons training from authorised, trained, certified NRA instructors. The concealed carry weapons permits have to be obtained after undergoing rigorous firearms training, given at the concealed carry classes. These concealed carry classes are generally very significant in the 360 degree training provided by NRA certified coaches. These classes follow a professional curriculum and follow the NRA certified courses.The concealed carry classesare taken by certified NRA instructors, who make the classes very interesting, with proper skilled training imparted to the trainees. Apart from the above initiatives, taken up by the owners themselves, there are a few more control methods to effectively bring down the gun violence.The following initiatives may help to some extent to control the violence; such as restricting the sale of firearms to youth or the "at risk" category people, mandatory permit required to acquire firearms, education and training programs, stricter enforcement of laws governing the usage of firearms, gun safety counselling programs, proper back ground checks, periodic audits etc. Lastly, one can achieve safety and be more responsible with the right training and approach and make the world a better place.
