What to do and to avoid when media ask for information Eva Rolečková, CEI Spokesperson
We have common interest - Environment - basic feeling, positive motivation - who can give what information • They´re annoying me again!
I am a professional, basic feeling, positive motivation • Evaluation of situation, consultation with colleagues and chiefs, with the spokesperson, estimation of preparedness • I am not interested in scribblers
I am responsible • Gather information, verify, do not rely • I know evething
I am not a pop star • Gain time in affordable limits, now them; • Not to underestimate concentration • Shall it end as quick as possible!
Amazed how much work I have with it, aren´t you?! • I understand your position • Bearing in mind reserved time space when answering, spare the partner´s time; • Not to overload with the complexity of the problem
I will explain it to you • Explain comprehensibly, not to overload with expert terminology and slang • I´ll show you an expert!
Did you understand well? • Verify comprehension, not to ask for authorisation • Not a word without authorisation!
We both do our work • respect journalists; • not to generalize bad experience • You will write nonsenses again anyway
Important is… • insist on one´s message, not to let provoke oneself • But they did not ask for what I wanted to say!
We are partners now co-operate and ask for advantages • They made a fool of me
