  3. When purchasing a surfboard longboard, if you make sure to take these simple maintenance steps, you can be sure of a long shelf life: • Don’t bang it around: Longboards aren't designed for tricks or kick flips like surfboards are. If a surfboard longboard is getting pounded with too much stress in the middle, the deck can break in half. http://www.grecosurfboards.com/

  4. Lubricate the bearings: If you can hear your bearings squeaking or feel them sticking, it’s time to fix them. Make sure your bearings are well lubricated so they aren't wearing down from too much friction. If they are dirty, the residue will rub into the bearings and wear them down. You can always take the bearings off and clean them off before putting them back on your surfboard longboard. • Guard the deck from too much sun or moisture:  If your longboard deck gets wet, it can weaken the material and cause it to crack or break. If the deck does get wet, make sure to wipe it off when you get home. As for the sun, just be sure to store your surfboard longboard inside or at least under shade, as excess sun can make decks brittle and prone to snap. http://www.grecosurfboards.com/
