Introduction When it comes to customization of high-end machines, whether two wheeler or four wheeler, the action’s or work is often moved from the manufacturers to the customization boutiques across the country where it is worked upon as per your need. Here are India’s three best bike builders who have created the best modified bikes.

Tushar Jaitly- The Young Gun! • Tushar Jaitly is one of the best bike builders in the country who has grown up sketching bikes and cars, and studied automobile design at one of the best institutes- Turin’s Istituto Europeo di Design. • After completion of his studies in the year 2012, Tushar decided to return to India and custom build bikes instead of cars as they were a smaller canvas to begin with. • His first project was working on his own Harley-Davidson Iron 88, christened Nadia which he exhibited at the India Bike Week. • He swears by a minimalist approach of the American motorcycle builder- Indian Larry and the modified bikes speak volumes of his work.

Bobbee Singh- The Old School Designer! • Bobbee Singh is a popular restoration specialist who over the last 15 years has created a network of informants to tip him off regarding vintage Royal Enfields which are for sale. He then restores them and sells the modified bike to clients across the world. • Nortons, Triumphs, BSAs and Royal Enfields are his preferred bikes and he believes that they designed for India. • He works on approximately 15 to 20 bikes each year, the cost of which ranges between 3.5 to 5 lakh each.

AkshaiVarde- The Boss! • AkshaiVarde is a popular bike builder and every Bollywood celeb has him on speed dial. • Akshai built his first ever bike in 2004, a 1977 Royal Enfield that caught actor Ash Chandler’s attention at Marine Drive. He was so impressed with Akshia’s work that he became his first customer. • In due course of time, he set up Vardenchi Motorcycles and plans to open many showrooms across the country. • The cost of each modified bike ranges between INR 40,000 to 1.2 lakh.
