The India Africa Forum Summit (IAFS) is a celebration of the close partnership between Africa and India. It is an acknowledgement of our shared history as well as our future prospects.<br>In the four day IAFS summit which took place during 26th-29th October 2015 in which Dr. Balvir S. Tomar Chairman and Chancellor Nims University was the honorable guest between the heads of the government of 54 nations across Africa and the Indian Government to give a new thrust to our age old partnership. It provides an opportunity to not only reflect on the past, but to define the road ahead in tune with the times we live in.<br>

External Affairs Minister SushmaSwaraj at IAFS-2015 • On this IAFS External Affairs Minister SushmaSwaraj said, she sought cooperation and partnership between the two in the spirit of “SabkaSaath, SabkaVikas.” • She said the gathering of Heads of Governments and States was like a “family reunion” and pointed to the shared history of struggle against imperialism, colonialism, racial discrimination and apartheid.
External Affairs Minister SushmaSwaraj at IAFS-2015 • “The longstanding and multifaceted India-Africa development partnership is based on the principles of equality, friendship and solidarity. • It represents one of the finest examples of South-South cooperation,” Ms Swarajsaid adding that she was confident that the Summit will chart a bold new course for future cooperation.
