  2. National Pawnbroker Association The National Pawnbrokers Association (NPA) is a trade association representing independent pawnbrokers. The NPA offers on how to be involved on a local, statewide and national level affairs as well as offering compliance training relating to federal, state and local regulations in regards to the pawn industry. One of the major missions of NPA is to build up the image of the pawnbrokers as respected part of the community. Many pawnbrokersare already giving so much to their respective communities; however, the NPA supports and helps coordinate a few major communities. Incorporated in 1987 and headquartered in Keller, TX, the National Pawnbrokers Association was formed to support the growing network of responsible pawnbrokers in the United States. With time, we became a network of reliable pawnbrokers that help independent pawnbrokers to enhance their business and at the same time earn good revenue. As a trade association, the NPA is the industry's only national association representing independent pawnbrokers. guidance to pawnbrokers

As a trade association, the NPA is the industry’s only national association. The Association offers guidance to pawnbrokers on how to be involved on a local, statewide and national basis. In addition, the NPA offers members compliance training related to the federal, state and local laws that apply to the industry. Our Vision : The NPA visions at providing our members with the resources and support for enhancing the image and acceptance of pawnbrokers through action, representation and Best Practices. We ensure that the members associated with us could get an opportunity to find other pawnbrokers in the country and share their experiences. Our mission : The main objective of NPA is to accurately represent pawnbrokers and their interests through education, mentoring and legislation. We are striving to create a respected position for pawnbrokers in society.   5. NPA and Government Relations We, The National Pawnbrokers Association is the national voice for legislative issues affecting independent pawnbrokers. We are engrossed in educating both the media and Members of Congress about how the pawn industry is helping the residents of America in their day-to-day lives, the association creates a proactive dialogue about the industry and its issues. The foundation of our government relations efforts rests with our many members who work at the grassroots level to support national efforts. The members of NPA receives regular updates on legislative initiatives through National Pawnbroker magazine and targeted emails. Rally Congressprovides members direct access to their Members of Congress and PawnPoint Map pinpoints hot button issues across the country that affect the pawn industry.

  6. NPA Community Outreach NPA is involved in many philanthropic contributions like The Future Business Leaders Scholarship (FBL) which is the contribution to the local community. Each year, students from across the country fill out the application and submit it for the opportunity to earn a $1000 scholarship for higher education. The application is located on the NPA website if you have a student interested in applying. Every year the NPA awards $1000 scholarships to students interested in business. The program is highly competitive and interested students and parents should Look at the NPA website for guidelines. As an industry the NPA looks to support young people in their business endeavors, as well as provide positive exposure for pawnbrokers’ in their individual communities. Pawnbrokers in good standing with the NPA can sponsor students from their community in their application. The pawnbrokers interested in contributing to the NPA’s scholarship fund can make a $25 or more tax deductible donation. FLB also supports Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) which provides resources to the surviving families of law enforcement killed in the line of duty. Each year the NPA awards FLB scholarships to students of these families as a way to give back to those gave their life
