Alcohol is a central nervous system depressant, which means that consumption of alcohol reduces or inhibits overall brain activity. Alcohol addiction can be termed as a craving for alcohol and the inability to stop drinking, even when it causes extreme personal or social harm. Alcohol is often abused alongside other drugs, as it is so common in today’s culture. Alcohol on its own is very dangerous, but combining it with other substances can prove lethal.

  3. Effects of Alcohol Addiction Alcohol addiction is a result of many factors such as environmental, psychological or social where the environment and social circle has a major role to play. A person turns to alcohol when he witnesses the other person drinking, especially those who are close to him firstly for experimenting and then that leads to addiction.
