  1. How You Should Take a Baby’s Temperature with Accuracy Nowadays it is easy to check a baby’s thermometer with the help of digital thermometers. You don’t have to worry about the baby’s movement or other factors interfering with the readings being taken. Such a baby thermometer in Singapore or elsewhere is useful for taking the temperature of babies and toddlers up to the age of 3 years. According to the medical community of paediatrics specialists, it is advisable to take the rectally, by placing the thermometer in the anus of the child. This is an accurate method and gives quick readings of the internal temperature of the child. However, nowadays a newer method of temperature-taking called temporal artery thermometry is also used with accurate results. It causes less discomfort compared to a rectal thermometer and is easy to use as it measures the temperature of the blood flowing in the temporal artery in the forehead. Such thermometers are also known as forehead thermometers and you can take temperature readings by simply pointing the thermometer in the direction of the baby’s forehead. Earlier and even now axillary temperature can also be recorded by placing the thermometer in the armpit of the baby. This reading is not really accurate but can give you an idea about whether or not the baby has a fever. After this initial reading, you should use a more accurate method to get the temperature reading which is necessary for the doctor to prescribe the correct medicine and its dosage for the child. Other methods of taking readings like ear thermometers, also known as tympanic thermometers are not recommended for babies because babies tend to move and squirm a lot. Bear in mind that it is safe to take a temperature reading with a digital baby thermometer in Singapore or elsewhere and you should never use a mercury thermometer for this purpose. Hence, simply order the baby thermometer from the best company online and be rid of the worry about how to take your baby’s temperature
