  2. The Peloponnesian War started in the year 431 when Sparta attacked Athens. • It took place in Mainland Greece, Asia Minor, and Sicily • The war robbed Athens of its Golden age. • Sparta was aided by Persia near the end of the war. How it started

  3. During the war many Athens allies switched to Spartans side • 1 out of 4 people died during the war but not because of the battle • Sparta launched repeated attacks on Attica, taking advantage of there famous army • Alcibiades betrays Athens for Sparta around 421-413 During

  4. The Peloponnesian War ended in the year 404 after Sparta blockaded Athens. • Sparta invades Attica • Athens finally surrendered to Sparta. • Sparta used Persian gold from Cyrus to build there fleet How it ended
