The function of glasses and lenses is mainly achieved through "film coating", which means coating the outer surface of the lenses with single/multiple layers of optical film to prevent ultraviolet rays, reduce eye fatigue, and make them more aesthetically pleasing. According to functional lenses, they can be roughly divided into three categories: polarized/protective/color-changing lenses. The polarized sunglasses lenses can cause glare when the light is too strong. When driving or in outdoor activities, glare can make people unable to see clearly, posing a great danger. If exposed to strong light for a long time, the eyes are prone to injury, and even symptoms such as astigmatism and cataracts may occur. The polarized sunglasses effectively solve this problem by eliminating scattered light, making the light soft and not dazzling, and basically eliminating the impact of strong glare. The working principle of polarized sunglasses lenses is that polarizing lenses usually have 7 layers, each with different functions. When combined, they can prevent ultraviolet rays, filter harmful rays, resist strong glare, and resist scratches and impacts. Protective lenses are often used for outdoor activities at a faster speed, with fragile eyes. Sunlight, wind, mud, and other factors can bring unexpected hazards, so goggles are often worn during outdoor activities. Compared to polarizing lenses, protective lenses require more.
