  2. Questions About Vessel Plan • Who needs to submit a vessel plan? • When are the vessel plans due and who are they submitted to? • What will ARB do with plan? • What is required to be in a vessel plan?

  3. Who needs to submit a vessel plan? • Fleets expecting to submit a plan • make 25 or more visits to a port in a calendar year • 25 visits based on one type of affected ship • Fleet includes ships owned by carrier and ships chartered by carrier

  4. When are the vessel plans due and who are they submitted to? • Initial Plans due • July 2009 for fleets using equivalent emission reduction option • July 2013 for fleets using reduced onboard power generation option • Plans to be submitted to ARB • Updates due six months before next milestone • Only discuss any revisions to plan

  5. What will ARB do with plan? • ARB staff use data to evaluate regulation implementation status • No official review of vessel plan

  6. What is required to be in a vessel plan? • Detailed ship information for portion of fleet complying with near term milestone of the regulation • Estimate of ships in the fleet complying with long term milestones of the regulation
