What is a lubricant? A substance capable of reducing friction by making surfaces smooth or slippery. What is oil? An 'oil' is any substance that is liquid at ambient temperatures and is hydrophobic but soluble in organic solvents. Oils have a high carbon and hydrogen content. Next >

Rotary Oil Pump Inner rotor driven by pump shaft. Inner rotor drives outer rotor. Oil is forced from input, to output. May be shaft, gear or chain driven. Next >
