What is the Process of Udyog Aadhaar Registration? • Udyog Aadhaar is a 12-digit Unique Identification Number (UIN) issued by the Ministry of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, Government of India for small business owners. The Unique Identification number is issued along with a Udyog Aadhaar certificate. With the Udyog Aadhaar number, small enterprises can easily register their businesses under the MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) category. These businesses can get a wide range of benefits from registration through the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM)
Udyog Aadhaar registration process • Step 1: Go on the official website of Udyog Aadhaar to register your enterprise. • Step 2: Provide your personal information including the name of the owner and 12-digit Aadhaar number. Click on ‘Validate & Generate OTP’. You will receive an OTP on your mobile number registered with the UIDAI. • Step 3: Type the OTP and select the social category (Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Castes (OBC), General). • Step 4: Enter the name by which your enterprise is known to the customers/ public. If you have more than one entity or enterprise, you can register each one for a separate Udyog Aadhaar with the same Aadhaar number. You can register them as Enterprise 1 and Enterprise 2 etc. Choose the right organisation type for your enterprise. • Step 5: Enter the complete postal address of your company including state, district, PIN number, email address and phone number.
Continue…………. • Step 6: Enter the date of business commencement i.e. the date on which your business entity started to operate. If you have received a valid EM-I/II from the concerned GM (DIC) as per the MSMED Act 2006, mention the details in the appropriate field. • Step 7: Enter the bank account number and IFS code of the bank branch where you have an account. • Step 8: Enter the activity in which your company is involved i.e. either ‘Manufacturing’, or ‘Service’ for Udyog Aadhaar. If your company is engaged in both, mention the major activity. For example, if 80% of the total business is in manufacturing and 20% service, mention ‘Manufacturing’. • Step 9: Enter the number of people employed who draw salary/ wage from your enterprise.
Continue…………. • Step 10: Enter the total amount of money (in lakh) invested in your business. • Step 11: Pick district industry centre (DIC) from the drop-down list of DICs in the district. If there is only one DIC in the district, the system will automatically pick the same DIC to register your company. • Step 12: Accept the declaration and click on the Submit button. An OTP will be sent to your email address mentioned for registration. • Step 13: Enter OTP you have received on your mobile number (linked with Aadhaar) the second time. • Step 14: You will receive a verification/acknowledgement number at the end of procedure.
