STARS Goal: To assist regular education students: • In receiving short-term remediation • In accelerating learning • In earning credits toward graduation Schedule: • Four days a week, 3:30-5:30 p.m.; • Students also may work from home. Course of Study: • STAR - Distance Learning Program
FOCUS Goal: • To prepare students to reenter High School Schedule: • Four (4) days a week, 3:30-5:30 p.m.; • Students also may work from home. Course of Study: • STAR – Distance Learning Program • Appropriate SOL remediation courses • Individual/group counseling available • Job counseling and career development included in program • Students are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
FOUNDATIONS Goal: • To prepare students to enter the GED Academy Schedule: • Four days a week, 3:30-5:30 p.m.; • Students are assigned homework. Course of Study: • Pre-GED preparation materials published by Steck-Vaughn • Job counseling and career development included in program • Students are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
GED Academy(General Education Development) Goal: • To prepare students to receive their GED certificate Schedule: • Two days per week, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Course of Study: • GED preparation materials • Job counseling and career development included in program • Students are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
PATHWAYS Goal: • To prepare middle school students to reenter the regular education program Schedule: • Regular five-day school week Course of Study: • Culpeper County core subject area curriculum (modified if necessary) • Guidance and Counseling Services • Physical education program
