Current Status Every FY 2004 obligation carries an ABC/M identifier NBC Utilizes NBC-specific Data Dictionary NBC Direct and Indirect Work Activities Quicktime implemented at Employee Level OS Every office in OS codes to DOI Work Activities DOI Indirect and Direct Work Activities Quicktime implemented at Timekeeper Level

  3. Approach NBC Indirectly supports the Department’s mission by providing business services to DOI Data Dictionary fully oriented to NBC business operations and NBC Strategic Plan Bureau coding of NBC bills follows DOI ABC/M Business rules

  4. Approach OS Presume most OS activity is indirect from Departmental perspective Proposed data dictionaries for each OS Office. OS Office activity = DOI sub-activity w/ many-to-one relationship One office sub-activity can map to only one DOI work activity Allows information to be presented at both Departmental and Office levels

Implementation FY 2004 Account Code Structure Revised for ABC/M FFS Reporting Category (RC) Field Captures ABC/M data NBC RC = NBC Data Dictionary Activity Organization (ORGN) field aligned with FPPS Organization Field - Integration of cost and personnel data by ABC activity OS RC = DOI Work Activity Program (PGMT) field = OS Office Data Dictionary Activity Organization (ORGN) field aligned with FPPS Organization Field

Implementation Issues Communication & Awareness: - OS & NBC Administrative Officer meetings Training: - On-line training will be updated and revised Reports: - ABC/M-specific reports continue to be developed Data Dictionaries: - NBC will examine at mid-year review - DOI changes will affect OS data dictionaries System Change Coordination: - Activity updates or changes affect FFS & Quicktime - Coordination among programmers, administrators, time keepers
