  2. This friendship book was arranged between December 11, 1918 and July 9, 1919 mainly in the Red Cross hospital No. 109 in Evreux, France. More than 50 wounded soldiers stated their acknowledgements for Miss J.H. Coffey, San Franciscan nurse caring for the injured.

  5. This picture shows Josie Coffey in the middle of some of the Belgian, French and American soldiers - as noted in the back of the picture. It is not known if these soldiers have expressed their compliments in the souvenir book, but it is highly possible.
