  1. What You Need To Know About Delta-8

  2. What is delta-8? Delta-8 THC, or Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol, is a relatively less potent but equally effective variant of Delta-9 THC. Products infused with Delta-8 THC are available online, in head shops, gas stations, and other specialty stores. They come in the form of edibles like gummies, brownies, treats, vapes, tinctures, joints, raw flower, and Delta-8 extracts.

  3. Delta-8 benefits People are more familiar with Delta-9 THC, which is the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis that gives you that euphoric high when you use marijuana. Delta-8 is also psychoactive that offers a similar euphoric high, albeit at a lower level. Some studies suggest Delta-8 may support a few medical conditions, including anxiety, chronic pain, depression, and stress.

  4. Does delta-8 get you as high as delta-9? Those who buy and use Delta-8 gummies in Austin claim the psychoactive effects are not as potent as Delta-9 THC, but there is no medical evidence to support this. It is partially because a few Delta-8 products contain some level of Delta-9 and Delta-10 THC. As the FDA does not regulate Delta-8 products, consumers never really know what they are ingesting or inhaling.

  5. Is delta-8 legal? The Farm Bill of 2018 legalized the production and sale of CBD products on a federal level in the USA, but only as long as they contain less than 0.3% of THC. However, the problem with Delta-8 gummies in Austin and other similar supplements is that they are not regulated by the FDA. In fact, the FDA warns that many of the chemicals used in synthesizing concentrated quantities of Delta-8 may be harmful. That is why buyers must be careful while buying Delta-8 products.

  6. Does delta-8 show up on a drug test? Yes, Delta-8 can show up on a drug test. There is no medical research to determine the amount of time Delta-8 stays in the system. Then again, due to its close connection to Delta-9 THC, the substance is believed to have the same parameters. A urine test can pick up traces of THC for up to two to three days after use, and up to thirty days for frequent users.
