  2. A mixed fraction calculator lets the user give the numerators and denominators of two fractions and do quite basic mathematical operations like addition, subtraction, division or multiplication of fractions.

  3. To be able to use an online mixed fraction calculator, you need to input a minimum of two mixed numbers which will be shown as a whole number as well as a fraction. To get an answer all you need to do is click the calculate button or any other button that seems alike.

  4. You will get your result. It would be better to double check the answers. There are several online mixed fraction calculators like say Math Papa or Calculator Soup.

  5. The advantagesin using suchmath software are – • It makes calculations that though simple are a little time taking much faster and easier.

  6. Not only do these mixed number calculators give you the answer and perform the calculation, but they also give you the mathematical proof to a certain extent.

  8. It then crosses multiplies to find a denominator which is common; then the improper fractions are added, and the final answer is converted into a proper fraction. You could enter fractions, whole numbers or mixed numbers in the following formats – • Fractions - one-half will be written as 1/2 or three two hundredths as 3/200. The user is allowed to enter up to 3 digits in for each of the denominators as well as numerators for example 234/456.

  11. Whole numbers - Whole numbers can also be similarly written Up to 3 digits.

  12. Mixed numbers – One and three-fourths should be written as 1 3/4 or twenty-four and three twenty seconds should be written as 24 3/22. You need to keep correctly one space between the fraction and the whole number, and also you have to use a forward slash to keying the fractions.
