We are going on a weather journey and you are going to be a weather forecasting cricket. You will be responsible for telling all the animals about the weather on the farm. Hold on to your seat. It’s going to be an exciting ride!

3. Task • Read Like a Hundred Drums, by Annette Griessman. After reading the story, you are going to develop a weekly weather forecast. Your forecast will be for the week of __________. Your forecast should be for 7 days and contain: • A list of daily high and low temperatures. • Chance of daily precipitation. • Daily sunrises and sunsets. • Cloud types to expect each day.

Process • Read the book, Like a Hundred Drums, by Annette Griessman. • Complete the weather chart given to you by your teacher.  Look at Weather.com to see a real weather forecast and to get ideas. • Look at Wild Wild Weather to learn more about clouds. • See some interesting folk lore about weather at Garden Digest. • Another fun site Cool Weather. • After looking at the websites, find a folk lore you like and draw a picture about it.
