Close Reading • Today we will be doing a close reading. “Close reading is a careful and purposeful rereading of a text.” –Douglas Fisher • Throughout the year we will be reading texts closely but today we will be reading photographs closely. When you look at a picture you need to analyze the details, look it over more than once, draw conclusions and support those conclusions with evidence from the picture.
