3. Understand Manufacturing Process of Dyes • Before we understand how dyes are manufactured, let’s know the difference between dyes and pigments. These dyes are mainly used in the paper industry. • Direct dyes: For cotton-wool or cotton-silk combination, azo dyes are used.
