Rapid heart rate, pale skin, and confusion can signal inadequate blood flow, requiring prompt fluid resuscitation. Trauma 3 Falls, motor vehicle accidents, and other injuries require careful assessment and management to prevent complications.

  3. Respiratory Distress and Failure Assessment Treatment Evaluate work of breathing, oxygen levels, and lung sounds to determine the underlying cause. Administer bronchodilators, steroids, or other targeted therapies based on the diagnosis. 1 3 2 Airway Management Provide supplemental oxygen, suctioning, and possibly intubation to maintain adequate ventilation.

  4. Shock and Fluid Resuscitation Hypovolemic Distributive Cardiogenic Caused by blood loss or dehydration, requires rapid fluid administration. Caused by sepsis or anaphylaxis, needs aggressive fluid and medication therapy. Caused by heart failure, may need inotropic support and fluid cautiously.

  5. Pediatric Trauma Management Primary Survey Secondary Survey Definitive Care Quickly assess and stabilize life- threatening injuries to the airway, breathing, and circulation. Seizure Management 2 Administer antiseizure medications and support ventilation as needed. Neuroimaging 3 Use CT or MRI to diagnose conditions like hemorrhage, stroke, or raised intracranial pressure.
